Crushed Cups
As an artist, I collect things on a regular basis. The "Crushed Cup" body of work is a collection of interesting objects which I have found in my daily life. These works started shortly after the "Garbage Still Life" series and have grown into a nice collection of images and interesting objects all of their own. This body of work has helped to fuel the conceptual side of my studio practice and helped push me into making the "Painting Construction" works. Through looking and thinking about the interest that I have with the crushed vessel of the cup, it has helped me to start a structure to re-approach painting in a new way.
