Painting Constructions
These works have come out of my continued interest in the connection between objectness and painting. The starting points have been works which walk the line addressing both the sculptural concerns as well as the painterly influences of the past century. My painting constructions start to manifest the ideas that are being represented in the crushed cup works. Through the breaking of the traditional/functional structure of an object something new is created.
